Free Procedural-Fairness Training

Consultant Emily LaGratta is back with her Fairness Challenge, a chance for judges and other court professionals to spend part of each workday, over a two-week period, thinking about how to improve fairness at your court.

Participants in the Fairness Challenge get a daily prompt about a recommended, research-informed fairness practice. In addition, three times during the program, participants get a brief engagement survey about your perspectives on fairness and related practices (that takes less than five minutes to complete).

Get a group from your court to register and do it together. Or do it on your own and bring others along later.

The program, which operates remotely, will run from August 14 to 25. She’s hoping that this will be a good time for many. If not, though, there will be catch-up options if you miss some of the daily prompts.

More information and a registration link can be found here. This is the third time Emily has offered this program—and we’ve heard good things from past participants.
